If the water is very turbid (not clear), it's always advisable to use Anthracite (1.5mm-2.4mm in size) on top of AFM®. Make sure Anthracite does not exceed 30cm in height. If you need proper dimensions, contact us instead.

For replacement of existing filter media in the FRP tank, follow the following steps:
1. Remove the existing filter media from the tank
2. Clean the filter tank with chlorine or chlorine dioxide solution
3. Let the solution stay for 1 hour
4. Rinse the tank properly with clean water
5. Follow the AFM® installation guide
Kindly note that we have two kinds of AFM®:
AFM® Standard - removes heavy metals such as iron, manganese and arsenic from the water. It has negative charge and is good for removing positive charged ions. It removes suspended solids down to 5 microns at 95% efficiency.
AFM® ng - removes oils, lipids, proteins and microplastics from the water. It is hydrophobic in nature and effectively removes solids down to 1 micron at 95% efficiency.
